Hey, it's a shame you haven't figured out how well those White's shoot sabots.:happy0001:

I have too much good lead to even consider spending $$ on plastic stuff....

And this is a 267 grain .562 cast ball at 1500 fps.

BIG lead gets it done.

Good picture, what happened to the bullet?

Omega45 04-16-2011 02:41 PM

By the picture it appears to have did its job and exited either dropping it in its tracks or leaving a 2 sided heavy blood trail for a short distance.

Bottom line that deer didn't know or care about the bullet being a RB or conical. it's dead just as if it were hit with a Barnes,Lehigh or any other saboted bullet.it also doesn't care if the bullet took a little longer to get there either.i am headed in the strictly conical direction myself.conicals will kill at 200 yds, just as well if not better than any lighter weight saboted bullet. using less powder with conicals and the fact there cheaper to buy, makes them attractive also. Grouse,

Typical good performance from a PRB. What was the load and distance?

Cant argue that at all. It looks like the bullet expanded right away then came apart. The picture reminded me of what i saw in TN. It was to long ago for me to remember exactly. It doesn't matter anyway.

That's some Damn Fine Shootin Dave! Mabey Spring will eventually arrive, Im not sure though. I just added some more wood to the woodstove...............

I loaded my stove up good too. It is still snowing here. There was two inches this morning and it still has not stopped. Although a lot of it is melting as if hits the ground. But all is nice and white again.
