What more would you ask for? All 3 of my hogs were 1 shot kills. You just need to place the bullet where it belongs. Every large game animal I've pulled the trigger on using this bullet have been complete pass-thrus resulting in dead critter. Including a nice buck at 154 lazered yards. This is the only bullet I've been able to recover.

Those your trash can bullets? You need to supply your conical shooting buddies with some of those.;)

Here's a good read,,,

Yep..the Trashcans.....I send a few out every now and then...the secret is using good soft lead.

That was a good read Batchief. And those pictures of the conical and especially that hog are sure impressive.

Here's an entrance, and exit wound on a big old doe from approximately 45 yards using the same conical. The pics pretty much speak for themselves.

Another late season fat doe at 85 yards who met a scrawny conical.

Is it too obvious that I have confidence in the White and conicals??

Nice pics:party0005: I read half of the article, i will finish it later. I never doubted what you did at all. I actually think i mentioned you had a one shot kill.

I remember very well, Chuck, Ed, Bob, and two others had multiple shots with conicals. Ed's son had a faster kill with a Bow down in the creek. I remember thinking how terrible it was to be honest. I was actually thinking some of those conicals never expanded to tell you the truth.

Probably just like saboted bullets, you got some that work and some that don't.

I also like first hand results over reading what someone else thinks. Getting 20 guys together hunting, it's pretty hard to get any better then that.:)

This is a 200grn Bullet at 2400fps with BH209.:poke:

This is a good discussion. One which will assuredly not sway anyone from using what works best in their current rifle and hunting situations. No specific bullet or load will satisfy everyone. We all make choices about what is best for "us".

I respect Grouse for the choices he has made. And I'm sure Grouse respects mine. We've both been at this game for a few years.

Find what works best in the rifle you choose,,and have fun shooting it. That's what muzzleloading is all about. :party0005:

Hey, it's a shame you haven't figured out how well those White's shoot sabots.:happy0001:

A hog has slightly different vitals then a buck. Maybe they were hit a hair off from what most people are used too when shooting a deer. Every time you post something about your Whites I take off to the gun auction sites and search them out. They are pretty rare tho.
