Would you shoot it?

Let's say you got a Bob Bowers White Super 91 in .451 cal. It is all accurized and ready to go. When you get it you find out it has Doc Whites signature engraved on the right side of the barrel and the words. "Collectors Edition" Would you shoot it or would you just keep it as part of a collection?

Shoot it. The signature will still be there. Or send it to me and I'll shoot it! :D:D:D I've got an old CVA in the closet I can trade you for it. I could get the devil to sign it and it would be priceless.

shoot it, you cant take it with you and you kids will probably sell it for something silly.

I would have to shoot it. Ive got a few semi rare guns and a i shoot them. I just make more of an effort to keep it in like new condition. I have number 39 of a gun that is no longer made and will likely never be made again. I shoot the hell out of it but i leave the "purdy" stock at home. :D

Maybe adding a plain stock just for bad weather days is an option. I saw a Super 91 stock for sale not too long ago or maybe Doc can hook you up or check with Bob Bowers directly about a less expensive take off he might have. He just sold one a few days ago. :(

I would, carefully. It's fun to have solely as a collectors piece, but then really what good is it? When it comes down to it, it's cool to have but without any historical significance or major event to set that guns value, it probably won't be worth much above it's original value. I think the most I would do with it that I wouldn't with an average gun is find a different stock if you're ever going to take it on a very difficult hunt.

All barrels have a limmited bore life so if you don't allready have a White, Try to find another barrel for it and put the signed one away.
