I don't keep as good records as you guys do. I need to do better.

Looks like I was shooting a shotgon.
Anyone know where I could get the barrel rebored? Or should I even bother? I guess I could still try some kind or conical. Any suggestions?

Without seeing the bore this is hard to predict, but lapping the bore might help. I sent one of my TC bores to TC and they lapped it for me no-charge. Mine was pitted fairly deep and their lap job certainly helped but did not solve all the problems.
You might be able to shoot a sabot fairly well from that bore - they are a bit more forgiving than a PRB... just a thought.

Some of those targets were shot at with the speer 225 grain hollow point with the TC sabot I showed you guys before. It's marked on the target if you can read my writing.
Both the round balls and the sabots went down the bore really easy. Even when the bore was dirty. Maybe they were too loose?

Ok pluckit, I have the solution for you. I had a rusted 50 cal barrel that this gentleman reamed out and sleeved. He will put any twist rate you want into your bore. He was recommended to me by the owner of Fort Chambers Muzzleloading shop here in PA. He had him sleeve a 45 barrel for him years ago that he used in competition and it still shoots great. The man's name is Bob Hoyt and his number is 717-642-6696. When I called him with my problem he quoted me a price of $150. But when he shipped it back to me, the enclosed bill was $110 which included the return shipping. Talking with him on the phone he seems like a very nice, honest guy and I am very pleased with his work.

Do what you gotta do, but dont send the .54 back to TC. Since TC doesn't have anymore .54 if they find anything wrong they replace the barrel with a .50. So if you like the .54 dont send it. Green Mountain would be the way to go.

I believe the .54 is trash unless I have it sleeved or bored out to a larger caliber. If I was to send it to Thompson center, what would I tell them? The barrel was obviously abused by the former owner. Yet I hear that Thompson Center still takes care of the problem for free. What have you guys told Thompson Center when you returned an abused barrel to receive either a new barrel or a lapping job for free?

I personally would not send it back to T/C. Besides the fact this is really owner abuse and nothing to do with the rifle quality, I can't understand why they still fix them. If they would. They are under new management, so maybe their warranty work policy has changed as well.
I would lapp the barrel myself and if that did not work, consider a few options... sleeve it like Bronco said, and have it done in a 1-24 conical shooting twist, get that .58 caliber Green Mountain Barrel (if you can find one) or a .54 in a 1-70 twist GMB, or write if off as a loss.
