my advantage is I do a lot of mood shooting. If I am in the mood for a flintlock, I shoot a flintlock. If I am on the range and my mood changes, so does my rifle. Or if I have new bullets.. well then I pick rifles I want to try them in. You can not fathom how nice it is to be 30 feet from the back door of the house and shoot.

Gotta be nice to go out and shoot a dozen rounds on a whim. Sure wish I could to that.

I tend to have long 50-shot range sessions because of the 80 mile drive to the hunting lease. At least I have a nice little shack to stay in when I go there, and the range is only 25 yards from my hooch.

darn it, I was trying to make it easier on my self to choose what comes with me on my next range session
When trying to decide this I will ask myself what gun and how many of them will I feel like cleaning that night when I get home and I am tired and just want to drink a beer on the couch.

That question will quickly narrow down the range candidates!

Especially when it gets cold there. The ability to quickly get in the house to warm up must be great!

There are times I have considered extending the garage and making a heated shooting house on the back end of it with a full cleaning and working on guns station there. So all I would have to do on cold, wet, raining days would be open a window and shoot out of the garage. But then.. what kind of sport is that. It is nice to know hot coffee is only thirty feet away on a cold winter day.

That's funny! I've often considered building a small enclosure around one of the benches on our rifle range so I could add a little 500 b.t.u. A/C and shoot in June, July and August.

it would be nice to have an range in my back yard. funny thing is I have the local law enforcement range 1/4mile from my house. wish it was open to the public.

still have the debate of what I am going to take. I am working an short early shift this coming week, thinking about heading out then.

debating on doing an sight in session (50cal hawken and the silver eagle) or an conical test/sight in, (knight usak for the conical either the 50cal hawken or silver eagle sight in)
