Since I try to make a point to stay out of threads that have conflicts in them since this one seems to be developing one, I will step away.

what I use for lead hardness does not matter at this point. seems to be an counter point to what I have to say.

as for the lead, it could of came from an earlier batch of WW lead that I did not sort out the stick ons , and put other softer lead in as well. I could of sent MD other type of lead boolitz and thought it was WW.

I sort out the zinc ww, I do it an sort 3 times to make sure I get them all did that when I first started and do that now. Now I make sure I get the stick ons out.

I am sorry you feel that asking a few questions is a "conflict".
I do try to find out when guys give a hardness of lead how they came to that conclusion. Especially hardness that does not make sense.
I was curious which lead you used and what the tester was. If you feel I am chasing you into a corner I wasn't.
You will find out that when your making bullets for other people you will need to know what the hardness is. The reason is, what if you make a bullet that is PERFECT! The guy wants more. So you make up some and they don't shoot as well. The guy calls and wants to know why these new bullets don't work as well. I have went down this road since I do make bullets for several friends. So since your no longer responding I will give you my .2 and leave it at that. If you going to make bullets for others get a good hardness tester. Keep track of each time you pour and record it for later. Ask for feed back on the bullets and record it. By doing this you will improve the bullets you make. Haphazardly throwing bullets together never gives a bullet maker good input. Again not fighting just trying to point you in the right direction. If you don't want input that is fine. Ron
