save the PB lead for round balls or casting other conicals. I shoot so many of them that i just empty out the sand buckets, and recast for round ball stock.

The Thor will be another one that wont fit the tighter bore wolf :(

I'd consider the 338 platinum - 405gr Aerotip or the hard punching 444 powerbelt. But in that light weight rifle, recoil's gonna be a sum biotch.

I thought Thor was making bullets for the tighter bored T/C rifles?why wouldn't they fit down the Wolf.

thors are .495 at the thinnest end but the skirt is flared to the size that you need. .500" is the smallest and it wont fit any of my older tighter bored cva's.

I havent seen a tc as of yet that took anything smaller than the .502" thor. And thats really odd.

You could give the .500 thor a try but get ready to either use a mallet and SS rod to seat it or push it back out.

Well i have no idea when he wolf was made. i know it was a used rifle , no telling how old it is. about when did the bore size actually get bigger? Ray

when they came out with the bergara barrel thats when they started running tighter clearance specs.

Last 2 digits in the serial # will be the build date.

He could always email thor for the free sizing sample and give the .500 a try for the hell of it, never know until you try.

So the bergaras outfitted barrels have a little big bore? and when did that happen.

when bergara first came out. Standard size for them are .500 to .501

All my cva's are 2010 models and all use the .500" thor without any trouble loading.

Awesome! Yeah i'd give the 250 and 300gr thors a try with 90-100gr blackhorn209 and get them in the .500 size.
