Corey, be careful casting too many bullets. Make sure you have good ventilaton. You don't want to be breathing those fumes. Very dangerous to your health.

I have two window fans, one blowing in, one blowing, out, casting set up is in front almost in front of the out bound air.

Corey, I have shot a lot of the 250 REALs in the past. They will shoot great in any rifle that shoots RBs good. I had mixed results with them in 1x28 rifled guns.

Corey if that is one of those Harbor Freight scales, they do eat batteries fast. Mine are dead all the time and i use good 2500NMH batterries in mine. I still end up charging them nearly every time i want to use it.

BTW nice Job. Seeing all this casting makes me want to get the Lyman 458? 330gr HP mold aka Gould for my 45s? I still haven't found a 54cal mold i really like though but that REAL looks close. Ive got some 390gr Maxis that are a tad harder than pure lead that are pretty good but can be a tad hard to start.

Corey, you make some very nice bullets.

I told you casting was addictive?? Andit looks like you got it bad!!

Lead fumes are not real bad. Actually lead does not fume at all. What you smell are the impurites that are separating from your lead. Personally I put a fan down wind of my pot and draw the air across the pot. That way you are drawing any impurities away from you. Mine is pointed out the side door of the garage.

What you need to be real careful with when working with lead is ingestion. Wash your hands and clothes immediately after casting. That is where you can pick up large amounts of lead into your system.

Obviously breathing any fumes is not good. But fumes is not where people get lead poisoning from(it comes from handling and ingesting). Yes the impurity fumes are also bad for you, but that is not lead. Good gloves are the most important thing you should always use. Tom.
