I was wondering if any of you knew if it was possible to have your muzzleloader barrel parkerized? I have a T/C Encore, and was thingking about getting it parkerized if possible. I don't knnow much about it, but someone I know just had there rifle done, and it is awesome. I would love to have the barrel, and reciever on my encore done. Does anyone know if there would be a problem parkerizing a muzzleloader? Thanks

Sweet..Like I said I wasn't sure about the process, or anything, and didn't want to feel stupid calling around to get it done. Then they telling me you couldn't do that to a muzzleloader. I always liked the look of flat color barrels better, and man going from a gloss blued encore barrel to a flat black parkerized will be awesome... Thanks

I'd look at a professionally applied, heat cured ceramic coating(like ceracote) or even a simple glass bead blast and re blue.
Parkerizing can leave a lot of tiny nooks and crannies for corrosive BP fouling to hide.
Just my $0.02

Ok, what does the ceramic coating look like? I mean my gun is in perfect condition the blueing and everything....I just thought that the parkerizing was cool looking, plus My buddy said it resisted rust, and corrosion.

I was looking at the cerakote, and gunkote on a couple different websites. It showed some of the finish options, and they had brushed stainless, and polished stainless. Now is that available on any barrel? My barrel and reciever are just blued. Is that possible? Also do they do the inside of the barrel?
