Thanks everyone. It was fun and that back-straps, hams, and loins were covered in fat. My wife cut up the meat last night and it looked beautiful.


@ Semisane: 250 grain / blue sabot. 100 grains of BH 209


@ gotbuck: Yes I did. One perch. My friend smoked me by catching a quarter bucket of crappie and perch. We joked last night that I just had to get the biggest fish, but mine was on land...lol

I think I will stick to muzzleloader hunting for deer. Got two deer with Muzzy with two shots. It would be hard to go back to a riffled slug out of a smooth bore again.

The advice I got here saved me a lot of aggravation, time and money. And gave me the confidence we can make long shots under the right circumstances.

Nice! That's a big doe you got there. Nice story- I'll have to remember the trick about bringing a propane heater in the blind. I was freezing my butt off on Saturday....
