Default Difference in barrel lugs

Over the past week I have been looking at ALOT of different MZ kits and guns. Some of them have 2 barrel lugs instead of the usual single lug. Is the any advantage to this or is it just for looks?

Some of the longer rifles are PINNED not wedged. Big difference between the two. A lot of people that own PINNED rifles like the Traditions Shenandoah, Kentucky, and others do not remove the barrel when they clean them. Some of the more custom rifles you purchase with full length stocks are pinned. You get a flush kit to clean them. That kit has a fitting that takes the place of your nipple or touch hole. A tube runs off that and into the bucket of water.

The reason they do not remove the pins is because when you put them back together, some of then rifles have such a close tolerance, they loose accuracy. Some take a lot of fooling around to make them pin back up.

The wedged rifles like the Hawkins, Renegades, and other, the wedge is what sets the barrel. It pulled the barrel down into the stock and locks it there. Now the Lyman Great Plains rifle is wedged, but it has two of them. I am not aware of any other rifles that have a double wedge but I am sure they are out there. Wedged rifles normally have a hooked breech also. Where some of the pinned have a tang on the end of the barrel that is always attached to the stock.
