Thanks for the welcome guys.

Im having a little trouble searching for a good load to start with but its mainly due to the terminology, all the abbreviations and what not (not up to speed yet)

We own a 2,000 acre corn/soybean farm with some creeks and one major river so i do alot of field shooting so range is a major plus, but i also do a fair amount of woods also. This M/L will be stictly a white tail gun. Does anyone have a list of common used loads/primer combos etc.

Sorry guys trying to read all i can and catch up.

Tyler

P.S. this year we shot 245gr powerbelt copper series, with 110gr of 777 and a cci 209 primer.

Im not too happy with the grouping but all my testing this winter is going to be at the range with a rest so i can get a good zero.

First of all sorry if this is the wrong section, I couldn't find a new join area.

My name is Tyler and I'm joining to hopefully find some good loads to shoot through my knight disc elite .50 so any help would be appreciated.

The site looks great and I will be digging through some threads looking for some load starters. Thanks.

Tyler

Welcome, you will get a few different answers here on the loads but most of these guys know what they are talking about!!:D

Tyler welcome aboard and thank you for your service to our country. The powerbelts are meant to be shot with lower powder charges than with what you tried. Back it down to around 85-90 grains, being that your shooting loose powder you can tweak it for that bullet type. 250 grain Shockwaves with 100 grains loose powder is also a popular load, only I use Remington Kleenbore 209 primers. The place you hunt sounds outstanding and should be full of big ol bucks. I have been trying to find one like this.

Welcome to a real vault of great muzzleloading info and just good folks. I have an older knight mk85, it loves 260 gr nosler partition-45cal. I use either 100gr of black mag3 or triple 7. I use the hph12 sabot. mighty accurate and dropped the one deer I shot this year in its tracks.
