Default Snow? What Snow?

Been reading some of the posts about the hunting conditions you guys have been facing.

Well my season hasn't been great so far this year. I've taken only one doe, even though I've been trying to connect with a second one for the last three weekends. Haven't seen even one shootable buck. The deer in our area seemed to have just disappeared. Our club kill total is about half of last year's so far, and even the nighttime trail camera pictures are way down. Everyone is blaming it on the drought conditions we had most of the summer and fall.

Anyway, I don't have to contend with blizzards and deep snow. But it looks like I'll be hunting in the rain next weekend. Here's the forecast.

Here in Missouri it is the acorn crop that pulls the deer to specific locations-if you're hunting where the acorns are thick you will see a lot of track and deer right now.

They are calling for snow and freezing rain here. So I will be taking it easy around here. I hate freezing rain.

Yea that looks like our June Forcast too. But after all the Snow and Cold Weather we've had for the last 5 weeks the Weatherman says were in for our January Thaw. Tomorrow's gonna be 34degrees, then Fri, Sat and Sun Rain and 51 on Sunday, boy there's gonna be a heck of a mess here when all the Snow melts, then back to the Teens and more Snow.
Common Semi, get that other Doe! It's not the Deer ar'nt there it's just there getting smarter and smarter every year.
Good Luck!

Leaving my house and the 30" of snow from the weekend storm. I'm driving an hour west to hunt where there's only 4".

Breech Plug,

back when I lived upstate, January thaw spelled rabbit/grouse safari!
