Why was Blackhorn 209 banned????

they banned the use of smokeless powder.

I didn't know BH209 was considered smokeless.

Because it contains nitrocellulouse!(spelling may not be correct lol) thats why it's so clean..

777 would be my choice!

i got a bunch of pellets yesterday so i am going to start with Pyrodex pellets first and see how it does. Trying to avoid the crud ring.

Got my white hots but UPS was so rough with the package that theres a ton of powder and huge chunks broken off the pellets! Im P'd off to say the least. I am going to run them through the chronograph and see what kind of jump shows up.

Go and buy some plain old Pyrodex RS.

I would not encorage breaking the law but I wonder how a game warden checks out a loaded muzzleloader and a couple of speed loaders for what powder is what. This sure sounds like overkill to me.

If the state of Maryland told me that I had to switch to a different powder.....YEA RIGHT!
