nchawkeye, that is great especially with all the tuition hikes at most big schools. Mine are too young yet for that I dread that day. Congrats, that is something to very proud of.

IMO the dumb blonds were actually brunettes that got a hold of a bottle of bleach.

Thanks Gotbuck...Let me tell you guys something interesting...She was 5-6 in 1988 when I started making my .54 flinter...She would come down in the basement and watch me work...When I put the girls to bed, I'd tell them stories about Boone, Crockett, Bridger, Carson, Kenton, etc...

Well, she got interested in History and when she was being interviewed to be a NC Teaching Fellow someone asked her where her love of history came from...

She said, mom used to read bedtime stories to us when it was bed time but dad would come tell us all these exciting stories about the Revolutionary War, Daniel Boone, David Crockett, etc....

I've given talks to local schools and Scout groups for over 25 years, never would take any money from them for doing so and frankly don't plan to start...I figure half price at Carolina and a free Masters from Wake is pay enough...

btw...Her and her husband are both teaching at high schools in the Raleigh area...Both teach American History...

We never know what type influence we have on our children...

Enjoy those kids while they are young, my youngest daughter turned 19 Saturday...
