Breechplug.. congratulations. Lots of kudos for sticking it out and hunting in this stuff. And tell your wife I am glad she shot a bigger one then you did. As long as they all go in the same freezer, who cares.
By the way if the storm you are waiting for is the one I have at the house.. you are in for a nasty one there my friend. It's colder then you know what with wind chills around -20 and hard to say how much snow is out there. It is still snowing and wind blowing. When my friend went to her car this afternoon, the snow was up to her knees. And you always get more then I do. So be glad you filled the freezer. Get some milk and bread at the store, and bring in some wood. You're going to want to sit in the house for this one. Although I took a walk today in it. not real pleasant. I even thought about shooting. Then wondered if I had lost my mind...
No comments on that last part. Now lets see the pictures!!!!

As for the Storm, I dont plan on Hunting tomorrow, yea were getting ready for another Blast of it. Tonight Im sipping on some Crown that I had saved, reminissing on another Season and getting ready for Late ML Season. I'll sleep good tonight and have visions of the next Buck that should happen to be unlucky enough to be in My Crosshairs. If it does'nt happen than so be it as long as the Good Lord let's me see another Hunting season that's all a Man can ask for.

Well, i am surprised. All along you have been writing about how tough your season had been going. To me it appears you have had a wonderful season thus far, and it isn't over yet. Thanks for the story, and pictures, and congratulations, and hope you do well the rest of the way.

OK, first pic is me and My ACCURA as the Snow was comming down at the rate of 2" a hour. Next Pic is the Stand I was going to Hunt but it was to full of snow so I Hunted the ground. Next Pic is My Boots in the 3'+++ of snow thay I had to walk through to get to My Stand in the woods, did'nt happen, too deep! Next Pic is the Soybean Field I Hunted when I took My Buck, it's abut a Mile Long by a Half Mile Wide. Next Pic are some of the Soybeans that were left by the Harvester that the Deer are feeding on and will be for our Late ML Season. You cat see them but these are My Boot Tracks in 3+++ Feet of Snow that I had to walk through to get to My Standn that I never made it to as the Snow was way too deep even though I thought My Long Legs could do it, Im 6'6" Tall and Im a Walking Machine, but the Snow beat me today. Next Pic is the Heart from the 7 Point I shot at 150yds with the 240gr XTP and 110gr's of Pyro, a complete pass through and a shot I was proud to have made. Next Pic, My 7 Pointer.......then the WIFES BUCK.......RUB IT IN, That's OK, but I taught Her Well. Next Pic me and My Wifes Buck, she took the Pis after we got the Buck outof the Swamp and finally back to the Truck after Dark. She Refused to have Her Pic taken with the Buck when I told Her she had to because I was going to Post it on here. She was'nt Women Prepared.....Her Hair was'nt just right! Women!
Hope I got em all right, The Crown's Kicken in and Im just Happy as can be that we both did what we did.
Now it's on to Late ML Season and Guess What, the Wifes NOT going to Hunt so there's NO WAY She can take a better Buck than me, Good Thing.......Pics to come...Hopefully.

It's good to see some local folks doing some good. I live in southern Chautauqua County so I know what you mean about the weather! Horrible. We have had some winters lately havent we? I hope we get a break soon as the deer and turkeys are gonna need it. Anyway nice job as for me the wait wasn't as long, on the first day a little buck came by and it was decision time shoot or wait, as luck would have it the big boy was 50 yards behind him (I guess he made the little guy take point... It didn't work). A real nice eight, my biggest to date. It's kinda funny I was sitting in my huntin' room last night with a little Canadian whisky myself, just thinking back. here's to ya
congrats to you and your wife.

Yes, it's also the High Base Model. With Winter's like the one were having and when the Snow is comming down fast and covering up everything you need it.
I've went to Scope a Deer on Many occasions when it was full of snow, so I quickly went to the Open Sights. But even then when it's Snnowing Hard like in the Pic of My ACCURA getting covered, you cant even guarantee that even the Open Sights will be clear.
And Yes I also do have the Butler Creek Scope Covers, but to me there a Pain in the butt. I've had them freeze closed, so off they came. I just deal with it.
