Congrats! Meat is meat and tht should be some good meat. I professed all my life that I am a meat hunter - but I certainly do not turn trophies down when they appear.

Thanks guys.I don't really care too much for deer steaks or roast. But for some reason I think when you grind the meat it changes the flavor entirely. So I plan on doing what I did with the last one, grind them both up.I think one more, since the first 3 were so small, should set me up for the year with all the ground meat I'll need for the year.By the way.I just have to tell you this story. The farm where I got my first one this year seems to have dried up.I hadn't seen anything in 3 days straight. So as a last resort I called an old hunting buddy I hadn't hunted with in almost 10 years and told him I would like to go hunting with him.He said "Come on." and that he had a couple of places we could go.This morning when I met him at his house he asked if I wanted to hunt from the ground or a tree stand.I said I would rather be in a tree.So off we went. When we got there the spot was not too deep in the woods and it was right in the middle of a homeless persons refuge. My buddy told me he didn't live there anymore but I thought it was hard to tell by the looks of the place. There was an old tent and garbage everywhere with clothes strewn about and even hanging in trees. He showed me the homemade tree stand,it was about 8 feet in the air sitting in a dead tree.He told me he hadn't used it in a few years and the steps might be bad, they were, but he thought the seat size platform was still good.Of course about now I'm thinking,"What have I gotten myself into?",and began to remember some of the reasons it had been so long since I had hunted with him.Well anyway,up in the stand I went and after handing me my gun,off he went to his spot nearby. As the sun rose and the picture of the mess around me got clearer I had to keep telling myself that my old buddy wouldn't put me in this spot for nothing. As it worked out,he didn't.I plan on going hunting with him again so I will try to get some pictures of the spot.Words simply cannot describe it.I only have a trail camera to take pictures with, that's what I took the pictures of the 2 deer with, but I have to show you this place. You won't believe it,I guarantee it.
