Default 16 lbs.

I just finished grinding up that little puppy I showed you in the thread Sorry...Wrong Forum.16 lbs of pure ground venison is what I got out of it.It's a start.I'll need to harvest one or maybe two more to last the year, depending on the size of the deer. It's been a tough season for me though.Due mainly to mistakes I have made.I should have 3 by now.Oh well."If at first you don't succeed, keep on suckin' 'till you do succeed.Nyuck...nyuck...nyuck." A quote by Curly Howard.

another I use is this... "If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not the sport for you."

Hey, those little ones are yummy! Good luck with the rest of your season!

amazing how little meat you get for all the work! LOL.

I seriously have been considering doing a bone out job right on the job rather than haul heavy un-edible bone up through the mountains. I think if you bone the meat out and get every usable piece, should be able to fit an elk in a good sized frame pack.
