I have a T/C Renegade and was looking into another barrel. Green Mountain Barrel Company makes barrels that will drop right into the stock. If memory served me, they offered a 32 inch. 58 caliber with a 1-70 twist. I am sure others here on the board can tell you of the quality of this company and the way their barrels shoot.

Stonehands, I started out exactly like you not knowing if I could handle one of the TOW Kits, but with patience and hand tools it can be done. The involved machne work that you are not comfortable with Track will do for you, then it is just a matter of using inletting chisels, files and sand paper to finish it out. There is a video out by Charles Turpin on basic muzzleloading building that explains it very well. Tracks preinlet preshaped stocks are about 90% finish. The tape would be the best place to check and see if you want to pursue. Hope this helps, if I can answer anyother questions let me know.
