Anyone hear of the game officer that was shot and killed while investigating poaching in Pensylvania?

After reading about that incident, there is a good example why stricter gun laws do NOT work. A convicted felon, who was not to have a fire arm, got one anyway, used it to commit a crime by poaching a deer, and then when he was confronted, used it to commit murder. Because he did not want to go back to prison. This is the kind of person that paid no mind to any law of the land, and did what he wanted to.

I am sorry but this person deserves to be put to death. He has shown his contempt for the law, and the value he places on human life. So why is it we should place any value on his.

The prosecutor will probably ask for the death penalty.

Adams County District Attorney Shawn Wagner said he would likely seek the death penalty. Court officials said Johnson didn't have a lawyer.

I work in a correctional facility. I frequently have a gun or hunting magazine on my desk that I'll flip through when it's quiet. You would not believe how many convicted felons come up to me and tell me they have one gun or another. And it turns out unless they're actually seen with it, nothing can be done.
