Default T/C Triumph Bone Collector

I need a solution for a tight bore! I understand T/C's are famous for tight bores. But......mine is ridiculous. I bent the ramrod loading it. FYI I used 250 gr ShockWave bullets with SuperGlide sabots and Blackhorn 209 powder w/ Win 209 primers. Accurate...yes but had to stanfd on it to load it. HELP!

Im no TC guy but My Friend bought a Triumph last Season and had the same problem as you, with the same bullet and sabot. I put one of My 240gr XTP Mags in it with the Sabot that comes with them in the 30 Pack from TC, not sure wich Sabot it is, it was a-lot better. But from what I have heard is there's such a Variance from TC Barrel to Barrel that it's ridiculous.
And Im Not Putting dowm TC's they make a Great ML. I'd try a different Sabot and see what happens, it would suck to have to reload quick in the field and not be able to. Also there's no excuse why you should have to push so hard to load that you break your Ram Rod. Also are you using a (Short Starter) that helps a-lot!

Yes...using a short starter. The superglide sabots are supposed to be easier to load than any other.....oh well.

You could try the Hornady FPB's. They helped break in my Triumph.

I had the same problem with my Triumph... nothing would load the way i wanted it to.

I ended up running a 100 stokes of JB's Bore Paste in the bore. The bore polishing paste cleaned and polished the bore - now I can load any of the normal sabots with out a problem...

I did a post on it - i might be able to find the post with a search if I can I will put a link in here....

Are you cleaning between every shot with a damp patch? I have a new Bone Collector too and it loosened up after about 30 shots. I can now load three in a row with the black sabots and it is still ok. I use white hots for pellets.

Mine took 200 strokes with JB bore polish and an other 50 with diamond grit polishing compound now it loads the HPH 24 or the Short Black Harvester very smooth. A high polish really helps.

Thanx guys. I will try the JB bore polish. Been doing a lot of reading... how about the Barns Spit-Fire T-MZ"s (they are .451) as opposed to the T/C SuperGlides ?

I just had a brain wave or brain fart however you look at it. How abrasive is JB? What about good ole toothpaste?
