Nice piece of wood you got there. Nice walnut is my personal favorite for stocks.

I did this to mine before i sold it but kept the stock in case i find a 45 WinApex.





CVA had a few left over from the Kodiak Pros and i got it for just $65 with hardware plus shipping.

I may sell it but Saxman has first dibs if i sell it.

#49 or #50 Nicholson cabinet makers rasp will be invaluable. You are going to have to invest in some tools if you plant to whittle a stock from a blank.

it is going to be after the first of the year, early bow is finishing up, early muzzleloaders starts sat. about 3 to 5 months of hunting season left (may do city bow season this year). second job on top of that. planning stages of the stock, figuring tool I am going to need, I do have an small rasp set.

sureform tools make for fast efficient wood removal also and you can interchange the actual cutting tool shape on the handle... They come in various sizes also.
