Knight LK-93 1x32mm T/C scope
#1

I had been reading some of your comments about all the different ways to shoot these Deep Curl 300 grain bullets from Speer, so I decided to try them in one of my Knight LK's.
Rifle: Knight LK-93 22 inch barrel blued.
Scope: T/C Hawkins 1x32mm
Distance: 53 yards according to the range finder
Powder: Goex 3f
Projectile : Speer Deep Curl .452 300 grain
Sabot: MMP HPH-24
Ignition: RWS 1075
Swab: 91% isopropyl alcohol
I decided 85 grains if Goex 3f would be a good start. I had a target up at 53 yards. The first thing I noticed is, at that distance, the cross hairs almost covered the bulls eye, so all I could do was center it as best I could to the circle.

Holding the cross hairs and cutting the pie in quarters, I noticed the first two shots were high. So I lowered the cross hairs just a little and shot three more. For 50 yards, I was real happy with that.
I then decided to push my luck and shoot off five more rounds.

I was swabbing with alcohol between each shot, but stopped swabbed for shot 9&10. I wanted to see what would happen and if getting off a second shot was possible without a swab. I really was kind of pleased for a 1x scope and that load.
Does anyone have any idea what the velocity of that load would be?

Tom.
