Theory on buying a used muzzleloader.

I have had a lot of luck. what got me started was an $75 knight usak, pitted up barrel, shoots very well. my win apex from md, first time I thought I was getting burned, was on my first cva hawken, could not get it to shot at all. sent it to MD, goes off every time. (yes going to get it out once I get my hunting loads down) latest hit was an knight disc org. 50cal, scrubbed the bore butter out of it.

when I look at gun shops and pawn shops, I checked the bores 3 or 4 times before I start thinking about buying an used.
