hornady fpb runs the same price here as the Thors. Powerbelts are more expensive.

Got out to 100 yards today. 100gr Blackhorn209 is the deal.

90gr gave me a 3 1/2" groups - 110gr gave me a 2" group.

My third shot is the highest in the picture, the barrel was really warm to the touch and i believe thats what caused it to walk up. Need more primers again. Damn things never last long.

So far everything looks good. If i get to hunt this year, i will use this set up.

Need to get some new back boards for the targets as well

Tested a couple of the New 300gr Thor BT's today at 50 yards. 100gr BH209, cci 209m primers, 3 gallons of water. The black jug caught it as you will see in the movie.

I believe the bullets look like this due to the upward angle i am shooting. Both bullets came out the same so i am betting thats what it is. No weight loss other than the 3gr ballistic tip.

Once i get news paper/ phone books i plan on testing them out as far as 200 yards.
Take note of finger/bullet starter

Spent 30 minutes trying to get my RCBS Chronomaster to work. Called the company and they said to just pack it up and send it in. Tried 3 new 9v batteries and nothing! My brother went and hooked it up to an adapter and it turned on. Found a 9v in my truck from bow season and it finally worked! Boy was i upset at first

CVA Accura, 300gr ballistic tip Thor, 100gr Volume BH209, Standard CCI 209 Primers. Barrel was allowed to cool down until it actually felt cool to the touch.

1836
1835
1825

Avg Velocity of 1832 FPS.

295gr Powerbelts, 100gr BH209, Std CCI primers.
1794
1794
1794

I found this really odd so i loaded another Powerbelt and put a great deal of pressure when i seated it and it "shot" up to 1820 FPS

245gr Powerbelts 100gr BH209
1865
1865
1862

One shot tests just for fun.

245gr Powerbelt 90gr BH209 was 1784 FPS
295gr Powerbelt 90gr BH209 was 1702 FPS

Sadly though i am going have to set the rifles to the side for a couple weeks. My shoulder muscle has inflamed again and has left me with golf ball sized knots between my shoulder blade and spine

The Skirt on the Thor's seals that bore up pretty tight it seems. 100gr BH209 is the most accurate in the Accura so i wont test below or above my 100gr charge.
