Default Fiber optic sights for a hawken

Can you buy fiber optic sights for my cabelas hawken? It has the dovetail cut in the barrel and the front sight slides in it. Do they make sights that will work for it???

Thanks,

Die Hard

Not sure if you can, but what I did was drill a small dimple in the front sight and then put a drop of irredesent sight paint in it. This worked out great. So good as a matter of fact I did my other two guns like it. I wish I had a photo of the sight to let you see how good it works, but don't - sorry.

My eyes ain't as good as they once were and this lets me pick up a good sight picture. If you find a good fiber optic sight, make sure you remember that the gun is made in Italy and that means metric dimensions on the dove tail.

They make them for the TC hawken that has a 3/8 dovetail. I think that the cabelas hawkens are made by investment arms or something like that and probably have a metric dovetail.

I believe that InvestArm of Italy makes your Cabela's Hawken. InvestArm also makes the Lyman sidelocks. Midsouth Shooters has fiber optic sights for these ML's. Item # 015-3090145. www.midsouthshooters.com

I went to Midsouth shooters website and clicked on the direct and advanced search, in the catalog number box I typed in 0153090145, I left out the dash, and the sights came up. $26.60 for the set. Also found in page 49 of the Midsouth catalog. Let me know how you make out.
