TC Scout?

Hey Guys,

I ran across a .50 Thompson Center Scout for a pretty good price. Looks clean with a good bore. Kinda` looks like a Winchester Model 94 30-30.

I don't know a thing about this model. Have any of you ever had one? Pros/Cons???

Just can't pass up a good deal I guess. I thought I might buy it, play around with it for a few hundred rounds, then see if I can sell it for what I paid.

Many years a go I thought they were a lot of fun. If you get it you will proably keep it.

Had one a long time ago it was a great shooting gun and it was an easy carry in the woods gave it away to a friend who wanted to start muzzy hunting

I'm sure the workings and required cleaning techniques versus a more typical inline are apparent to you so no need to go into that. I've picked one up, but never shot one. I'm sure it will shoot pretty well.

"Because I didn't already have one" is the reason I usually give when someone asks me why I bought something. That's reason enough.

DANG! I waited too long. He sold the darn thing for $50.

That was a real deal. And they also made a matching BP pistol. Tom.

I had a friend that used one for years. He liked it but always said it was a pain to clean. I believe it took some special tool and a little work to clean the nipple area. Iron sights on it left something to be desired in my opinion.
