The bug bit again... I know all of the limitations of the 52, but the 1-26 twist got to me + I might have a real good line on some new bullets...

Now I need to find some sabots...

Congrats on the gun.
I think this one puts you past Cayugad.
Has Mr. Guiness been over to see you yet?

Very nice looking rifle there. Yes I am sure Sabotloader is well ahead of me in gun numbers. He is a Knight Rifle collector. Didn't Jim Shockey hunt with one of them for a while when he was sponsored by Knight?

I would imagine that shooting one of the original 52x.475 375gr loads with a max charge is a real eye opener.

Ive shot my Extreme 50 with the Harvester 50x.475s using 325gr XTPs and upto 120gr of BH209. It does a far amount of damage from both ends.

Sabotloader,

My brother has the same gun and loves it. Remember, the .52 was Tony Knight's favorite rifle. As far as sabots go, if you purchase the silver sabot that knight packages with the .325gr round for the .52 this will allow you to shoot any.458 round(all 45-70's).

I don't blame you. If I had a chance at that gun I wouldn't have to stop and even think about it. As matter of fact last year I looked for one and they didn't seem to be around. Congratulations on a excellent find. If you ever hear of another one in good condition let me know. In the mean time I guess i will keep waiting for the Ultimate Slam and hope the new owner can keep the same quality as the old Knights
