I have to admit I can't give a fair assessment because I've never shot pellets. Not once, ever.

I have two unopened packs of T7 50/50 pellets (24 per pack) that I picked up at WalMart last February for $3 a pack. Can't decide whether to shoot them or give them to one of my "once a year muzzleloader" hunting club buddies.

For many years i used two Pyrodex pellets concurrently with 100 grains of Pyrodex RS. The point of impact was the same. My gun would be loaded at home using 100 grains of loose powder and my reloaders had two pellets in them. Worked for me.

I have used both loose Pyrodex RS and Pyrodex Pellets. As already stated, loose powder can give you a more accurate load but in my Omega, there is no practical difference for hunting applications for my type of hunting in IL. Nobody has mentioned it yet but pellets are easier/more convenient to pull when unloading than loose powder which has a tendency to stick together when sitting in your rifle over a weekend of hunting.
