It's all cool. We were all newbies at one point. Hell, I'm still a newbie. :s4:

Hey Tom, I admit I posed for a pic. but that's pretty much how I hold my cheek next to the stock....Been shoot'in for over fifty years and have my own way of holding every weapon that I shoot. Is there a right way or a wrong way? Hell I don't know. One of the greatest weapons I ever shot was the M-14 in basic training, Ft Dix New Jersey, April 68, Easter weekend we qualifed. I put down 1/2 man pop-up sillioutes from 25 meters out to 500 meters. We qualified on Holly Thursday & finished on Good Friday. I knocked down 68 out of 72 targets with the M-14...what a weapon....Went to Nam and was issued a M-2 Carbine...God bless the WWII guy's which was there weapon....not there choice....GI Issue....I carried a M-79 with me as a RTO with my unit. HE's, Bee Hive rounds and I was the flare man at night to put up some illum and I have one parachute in my Nam box from a flare which I fired from my bunker in An Loc. Today, nice keepsake....back then...hell, what can I say....nothing can be worse than putting up illum at night when on a night ambush that was sprung....May the Lord be with our sorry soul's and get us out of this jam "We Will Prevail...Walking away or bagg'in your buddies......Amen.....I'm sorry I rattled on...just a day to express myself....Let's talk some M/L stuff.....Let's get it on guy's & girl's...sorry I vented....Johnny

OK....let me say this.....I don't know if Grouse45 posted a pic. of his 2010 Jan. late season M/L buck on his birthday....I was there....19" M/L buck...really nice....He used his Knight M/L...model ? shame on me but my good friend...Grousr45 (Tommy) put down a good buck on his leased property....Where does he hunt???....HaHaHa....end of story...26 miles southeast of Columbus....find us if you can....lol

We know that there are one or two 160's...170's and yes maybe a 180 class P/Y and B/C dudes on the hoof on the leased property...we saw them right before the late M/L season Jan. 2010...yo baby...outdoor channel type whitetails......You Ohio gunners/archery come to Pa. so don't get honked off when us Pa. hunters come to Ohio...
We're tak'in your good bucks home with us and we love it.....Cheers Amigo.....Johnny/Avid Stick Hunter/ML
Hunter. God Bless you and I hope you get a good one!!!!

If you ever get a chance to hunt with Grouse45....happy day baby.....on second thought...I'll take ya....NamGrunt and I love to hunt.....and we'll put 'em down baby....

Grouse45 showed me a pic of some one's hand that was blown off apparently due to a serious miscue on the shooters behalf. Grouse45 showed me a little system of a safety check which I incorporated into how I load and take my last breath of calming air before I touch off....M/L shooting is a brand new ball game from High-powered rifles....One must be very aware of every load and shot....I'm just a newbie and safety is above all the macho ego trip when wanting to shoot that good group....Have a mental check list and let yourself shoot many practice shots and drop all the game you can....I'm 61 years young and I respect the weapon I have in hand....The weapon will in turn respect you.....NamGrunt aka Johnny
I"m sorry if I am babbling on....It's just my nature.....

Thx...new-bie....I'm on board with you....lemme know how your hitt,in them....I have an awesome mentor with Grouse45 but I'll be more than happy to let you know what I'm shooting , loads, bullets and what it takes to make your M/L shoot straight. Remember, all M/L's have there own personality....worse than a woman. I shoot a Knight and I think you will see my groups....not bragg'in but U can do what I did. You just don't know it...Good luck my friend....

I'm sold on smoke poles and have been hunting before Columbus discovered America....I'm an old timer and have a great mentor with Grouse45....He hooked up with me for all the right reasons...He's a hunt'in fool and so am I.....C-ya in one of our shacks in Jan. when it's -20 and were bringing home the venison......Join us...Chow Baby....
That's Nam lingo.....M/L's are better than woman....Once you have your own M/L figured out...you can go in the woods and bring home the bacon....hands down...no questions asked...I hope the hell that your wife doesn't read this....Yikes!!! LOL

So now he started shooting some Knight Muzzleloaders to try and figure out what he wants to purchase. After we left the range he said he will be buying a bolt action Knight rifle. Here are some pics of targets he shot at 100yds with the Knight Vision, and the Knight Super Disc.

This is a Picture of his spring Gobbler before he shot with a Remington 1187 Shotgun.

Richie, who I was hunting with took this pic at 200 yards Gobbler from where he was....This boy stepped out in the field where I was was strutt'in his stuf at about 175 yards and he come in with a vengance when he saw pretty boy....He ran ran into my 1187 smi...Good night Irene.... Grouse45 called him in... I take no credit for that.

I agree with the excluding military terminology when talking about weapons that we came to love and enjoy....I did my time in 68 & 69 in the infantry in Nam....Toady I enjoy my weapons shooting/hunting as we are supposed to enjoy them....God Bless all the troops that are picking up the slack for us old timers. They are to be saluted with ut-most respect for there courage for being in the minority of the bravest of the brave....He/She who wears a uniform for there country stand alone with pride and honor and the majority will never know that pride.....NamGrunt and damn proud of it....
