Default Knight BK 92 50 cal

I have run into a guy selling his Knight. It's been to the range one time and then put away. The gun looks like new blue on black and he wants $140. Any info on this gun would be a great help. I'm not looking for another gun but if its a good gun and a good deal i might have to buy it.
Thanks
Chuck

I biught one in 1994. It was a very accurate gun with a 250gr MZ Expander and 90grs of RS. Wish I still had it as it was the most accurate sabot shodter I've ever owned.

I don't know what these are worth in that condition. I do know a friend has one he has been trying to sell since after black powder season last year. Now his doesn't look new and it has a little rust. From what I saw it looked pretty decent though. I saw it when he was shooting it and I've been shooting with him when he has had it. I've never inspected it as a buyer though. He said it has a little rust but not much. Anyway, he has been telling people he will take $75 for it. I bought the scope off of it from him and at that time he told me if I wanted to buy a Simmons 8 Point Blazer 3x9x50 scope he would trade me. These are $50 scopes. I was tempted to do it but I decided I really just don't want another muzzle loader like this. Next one I get I want a stainless barrel and one that shoots 209 primers. He also mentioned that I was the only person that's shown any interest in his rifle. It makes me think if he is having this much trouble selling it for $50-75 that they probably aren't worth $140. However, your market may be different.

The Knight BK92 was a combination gun. It came with a .50 caliber barrel that had a 1-28 twist and a 12 gauge shotgun barrel. You changed them out by taking screws out of the gun, then the barrel pulled from the receiver as I remember. The rifle then broke down and you could clean it. I never shot the gun. All I did was clean it up and oil it, and traded it the next day. So I can not tell you too much about it.

I actually owned one I think. The reason I say I think is, I had bought one used/new. As I remember it was the shotgun and was a BK92. I called Knight and asked them how to take the gun apart and such, wanted a manual basically. Some one at Knight that collected all models of Knight rifles and shotguns asked me what condition it was in, and I told them new. It seems I had the one addition to their collection they were missing. So they asked if I would traded for a new TK2000 even up. Well I took the trade. That is how I got my Knight TK2000.

I talked to the guy and he has no knowledge of it being a shotgun also. I put an offer of $100 and he wants to take the weekend and think about it. I figure for that price it can't be that bad of a deal.

In my recollection the bk-92 was kind of a cheaper version of the mk-85. It has a little different stock and the sights on it aren't quite as nice as the mk-85. I am almost positive that the mk-86 was the one you could switch barrels on. I went back and looked at some of my older manuals and I'm pretty sure I'm right.

The MK-86 came with the shotgun barrel the BK-92 was not a switch barrel gun.

You guys are absolutely right. It haunted me why I could not remember the exact number so I went looking through my photos. I figured I would have taken a picture of the thing before I traded it off. I could not find a picture of the shotgun I traded, but I did find a notation in a phone log of trading off a Knight 86 for a TK2000. So I stand corrected.

I then looked for a Knight 86 and it was the shotgun that I owned for a short time. The 92 was only a rifle and did not change to a shotgun.

I had the BK-92, it was deadly with the Barnes 250gr MZ Expander using 2 pellets of pyodex, it was a pain to clean, I sold mine and now have the T/C Triumph, just as good but much easier to clean
