Not bad but try with different amounts of powder and see. There is an ideal spin rate RPM for every gun / projectile and it takes experimenting to fund it. That is what makes BP so much fun. You adjust spin be changing velocity. The amount of powder charge determines that. The "sweet spot" charge is different for every gun. Even 2 identical guns from the same manufacturer shooting the same projectile will have different "best charge".
Of course the caffeine charge can also come into play. It does with me.

BTW I shoot the same gun, almost. TC Hawken 1" octagon barrel 48" twist. The only differences are cosmetic.

Not bad at all jeep. Can you do better? Sure - on some days. With my best loads in a round ball rifle and peep sights, I expect about one-inch five shot groups at 50 yards on a good day. That best load is usually arrived at with quite a bit of experimenting with patch thickness and powder charges. But even with a gun's best load, on some days I just don't shoot well and I have to settle for two inches at fifty.

That group is not bad at all for open sights. Some days you will shoot better and some days you will not talk about it. It does not hurt to play with powder charges, but that is basically the same (other then the patch lube) I shoot out of my Renegades.

That would be a dead deer in anyone's book. At that roundball will sure get the job done. Nice shooting!!!
