Default Hawkens Sling

Bass Pro and Cabelas use to list a sling that would go over the butt of the gun and wrap around the barrel. Seems Cabelas doesn't list it anymore and Bass has changed to a different sling.

They one Bass now carries doesn't look as rustic as the previous one. (looked at them yesterday while at the store) Leather is now all shiney and has bright stitching. Guess I could work on it some and make look rustic if needed to. But still liked the older ones.

Wondering if anyone has a link to places that may sell slings like this?

Another option I have is having a custom one made buy some friends. They are Native American and enjoy making all types of authentic stuff in leather for all the Pow Wow's they have. Might be alittle more pricier but would add a neat cool factor to my baby Hawkens.

Thanks for any help.

Dave

Dang I must have been looking at the wrong thing at Cabelas. I looked last night again and didn't see it. Old age setting it.

Thanks also for the link Robert

They both are the slings I was looking for. If anything I might hand rub some oil onto it some more to darken it alittle.

Thanks for the help

Ok I must ask, why don't you use it?

Gets in the way?

Blocks the front sight?

Don't like the look?

Made a real one out of deer hide?
