Robbed the Scope off the Optima and used some mounts off my dads 06.
Shes sighted in 2" high @ 50 yards. Rifle just soaks up the recoil and you dont even feel it. My dads eyes lit up when he started shooting and thats a good thing to see. His 06 a rem 710 has a tough trigger and beats you up pretty good. He really seemed to enjoy this 06.
It should be a really fun rifle once the muzzleloader barrel is on it!

I have read a lot of good things about those Bergera barrels. I have heard they shoot pretty well. That is also a sleek looking rig. I bet it is pretty lightweight?? That will be great for carrying, but I bet with that stock design it is going to kick like a Mule. I put a muzzle break on my 30-06 barrel on my Encore. You might want to consider putting a brake or at least some ports on the Bergera. For some reason the break open action rifles tend to have a lot of "jump" in the recoil. Scope eye will ensue. Tom.

head001 - no need at all for a muzzy break. The design soaks up recoil and you dont feel it. I havent even had any muzzle lift when the rifle goes off. I had my 14 year old nephew out shooting it today at the NRA and he wants to use it this year. He was hitting targets out at 200 yards and drilling them. I took some videos too. The rifle though with this 06 barrel, just doesnt kick at all. My father is a big 06 fan and he noticed the huge difference in recoil right off the bat.
