I've owned most of the scopes on the market today that are used for hunting... without question I would reccomend the Leupold 3x9 Ultimate Slam for any modern inline..for one reason, the dots get smaller as the range gets extended and it makes for better aiming points..the circles on my other gun stay the same size and cover the entire animal at 200 yards and even at 150 if it's smaller.. and the ability to already have the marks to adjust from 2 or 3 pellets and also the shotgun marks makes this scope almost perfect.. once you use one you'll be amazed and the dots are right on the money with the bullets they reccomend.. never mind the clear and bright..it's hunting perfect..

The Pro Staff 2x7x32 are great scopes. I have them on my CVA Wolf, Knight KRB7, Remington 870 slug gun, and will be picking up one for my new H&R USH 12 gauge slug gun.

Well I use a BP/Shotgun Tasco Bantum 2.5x scope on my H&R Sidekick:
![]() My eyes are as bad as the next old guy and this scope is perfect out to 100 yds. I hunt in Virginia and it is pretty rough and thick in my woods. This past year I took five deer and this scope workedvery well in helping me fill my freezer. And before anyone says they need a variable scope just remember that most of the sniper guns during WWII had 2.5x scopes on 'em. Oh yeah, did I say these scopes go for only $37.00??? They can be found in Wally World. :barmy::barmy::barmy::barmy::barmy: |
You'll get no argument from me rafsob. As you probably know, I'm a real fan of 4X fixed powder scopes.

I agree with the fixed power scopes. My old eyes do just fine with the 4 power (out to 100 yards) I have on my 3006 center fire.
