Some useful values:
1 grain = 0.037 dram
1 pound = 7000 grains
1 pound = 16 ounces
1 ounce = 437.5 grains
1 ounce = 16 drams
1 dram = 27.344 grains
Density of lead is 11.34 gram/cc
1 gram =15.4324 grains
1 inch = 2.54 centimeters
1 meter = 39.37 inches, 3.28 feet and 1.09 yards
pi = 3.14159


POWDER MEASURE SETTINGS TO THROW OUNCES OF BIRD SHOT:
50 grain setting = 3/4 ounce of shot
60 grain setting = 7/8 ounce of shot
70 grain setting = 1 once of shot
80 grain setting = 1 1/8 ounce of shot
90 grain setting = 1 1/4 ounce of shot
100 grain setting = 1 3/8 ounce of shot
110 grain setting = 1 1/2 ounce of shot
120 grain setting = 1 5/8 ounce of shot


I hope some of this information helps you. Normally you load as much shot (by measure) as you do grains of powder.

Ill give it a try i think 1 5/8 oz should be good for turkey load

I would recommend getting a copy of T/Cs manual for the NewEnglander & reading it carefully!
The MAXIMUM suggested load in my manual is a volumetric measure set at 100 grains for both shot and powder!
With the mag spark there is not much blow-back, and with that 150 grain (volume) shot charge you are probably exceeding maximum pressures by quite a bit! That could really "blow" a shot pattern.

As for the mag spark, I use one in my NewEnglander and see no impact on shot patterns, but I'm staying very close to recommended loads.
