Question Remington #69 Primers in CVA Kodiak Pro?

I shoot a CVA Kodiak Pro with a powerbelt 295 grain hollow point and two standard Triple Seven pellets. A friend of mine just gave me four boxes (400) of Remington #69 primers and assures me that they will work fine in place of 209s. Is anyone using #69s and, if so, how do they compare? Would these cause a problem? They would last me a good while if they are safe and consistant.

I'm certain that the 69's and the 209's are not identical. In fact, I believe the 69's are smaller in diameter. How much? I don't know. I would imagine that if the difference in diameter is negligible, the worst you would suffer is some blowback. If you get no better information than this, I wouldn't use them. 209's are cheap and relatively plentiful.
