Default I got another ML

A while back I got another Stainless Steel Green Mountain barrel, It is a 1-28 twist 45 cal. I have been waiting for an idea to pop into my head and well one did. I found a Cabelas Hawken. It is a 54 cal with a 1-24 twist.
The thing that is different about this one is the stock. It is a fiberglass stock from Bell and Carlson. The SS barrel fit pretty good with a little adjustment. I am excited to see how it shoots.
At some point it will have a Lyman 57 SML peep sight and a 17 AML globe front sight. The idea was a wet weather ML. If a guy got this one compleatly soaked and droped it into a creek it would be just fine. I know this is a bad picture.

that is a cool looking rifle. I really like a stainless barrel with a composite stock. I bet that will be a good shooter.

You're going to love that .45 LRH Ron. Wait `til you see what it does with .40/200 XTPs. Now if you could put a scope on that puppy and really stretch it out.

It would be interesting to check the actual rate of twist. When I received the blue 1" LRH barrel for my Renegade the label on the end of the box said 1:30 twist, and sure enough it was. Their web site says 1:30 in one place and 1:28 in another place, at least for the 1" barrels. It only says 1:28 on the 15/16 barrel page, but I wonder if it's really 1:30.

EGAD - Stainless barrel AND synthetic stock? That is darn near as sinful as Semi's scoped Renegades!!!!!
Just Kidding Idaho - looks pretty sharp. I hope she shoot well for youl.

I ordered the sights and some other stuff today. I am waiting for a custom Lee sizer in a .446" for a paper patched bullet for this gun. I am planning on using either a Lee 452-255-RF or a Lee C452-300-RF. I am going to pour some maybe this weekend. I will not get the sizer for about 5 weeks. Ron
