It would be my recommnedation that you look very hard at the Warne base and rings, either Quick Detach or even solid rings. These are steel rings and bases, they do not move or change.

Actually now days i think Leupold offers Weaver style bases and a set rings that function just like the Warnes. i would not sggest the Leupold style QD rings and bases.

Regular Leupold rings are great!!! It is only their Quck Detachables that I have somewhat a problem with - returning to 0...

The levers are in the base and they grab a point off the rings. I think the steel weaver style and the new Leupold QD rings with the levers on the rings would be great...

These are the regular Leupold QR mounts

These are the ones i would suggest - but expensive...

Convenience (for cleaning the rifle) is the only good reason i can think of... I have two sets but everything else is hard mount - I never trust them afer taking them off anyway... And i even know they wil return 99.9% of the time to the exact spot - but I cn not convince my mind of that fact.. what about the other .01%

I have the Warne mount and rings on my Endeavor and love them!
