They are the exact same gun except for a breech plug. How does a breech plug "feel" better?:confused:

Thanks to everyone for your feedback. I think I will pack everything away and just finish the season with the prohunter. I definitely like it. Going to start predator hunting this year and this is the baby I'm going to use
Hope everyone is having a happy new year.

Chet,
Your just lucky Grouse isn't on here bashing the encore.
Check his old posts about how big a piece of Sh** they are.
Each his own... i have both the triumph and encore but the encore goes out in the woods with me every time.

I haven't shot mine much, but what little i have used it has impressed me. And It takes quite a bit to impress me anymore. Say what they will I like mine. Maybe I got "lucky" and got a good one. I haven't tried the 22-250 barrel yet but the 50 cal sure is nice. Time will tell. Some might not think you can "feel" quality but I think you can. If you shoot enough different muzzleloaders after awhile you can hold one and know if it is of good quality or not. When I pick up my ProHunter I can "feel " the difference. Some of you are probably laughing at that statement but some of you know what I mean. I'll leave it at that

It's amazing what you see on the internet. The Encore was probably my all time favorite ML. Far from a piece of ****. A little tweaking and the speed breach it's as good as the rest.

I hear you, like being out 4 wheeling in the ruffstuff with a quality built suspension VS some suspension made in some far away land.
