I would rather they had simply redesigned the butt stock to be more aesthetically pleasing. Myself, i am the kinda person that likes new and better products. The new gps i recently purchased is much much much more functional than the first gps i used. There are new tools in my shop that work better than older models. There are, however, 'new' things that are new, but perhaps not better. If one is looking for an accurate rifle that doesn't cost several hundreds of dollars, the current Accura as currently priced by Cabela, is a heck of a deal, and knowing what i know, i would purchase one if i didn't already have one. If i needed a rifle, i wouldn't wait for the 'new' version to arrive. |

I tried those XTP Mags once Breechplug. They were terrible! I slow cooked them at least three hours and used plenty of seasoning and they didn't taste good at all.
A tip...get rid of the slow cooker and try Grillen em with plenty of Cajun:devil: |

"My concern is simple - the cost of replacement plugs will be much higher with the tool-free plugs as it has with the TC plugs for the Triumph and Endeavor. The prospect of using vent liners might become quite attractive economically." Agree the 44 dollars for a replacement plug is a bit much and unnecessary. Mike and I have been working on the vent liners, I originally tried making some but with good ones available for 5 dollars that became inane. Now we have successfully installed and used them in Omega Triumph and Encore Endeavor. One of the things I have noted is that doing it the way we are; mike's idea of opening the flame channel all the way through has made a big difference in the amount of carbon deposited and I have note an improvement in long range group size. I would like to see some Knights and some of the CVA like the Accura have them installed and compare notes. I am wondering if this would be as big an improvement as it was for the guns we have tried it in so far? Lee |
Not you BP - you are enthusiastic about your choices and I can't recall you ever sounding elitist about them or trashing anyone else's. All is good.
Did you ever get up to the Sausage Maker in Buffalo? |

Just for information I have completed a couple of Knight's also - 2 FPJ's and one NFPJ. I am about to do a Knight Vison plug also. It is my feeling that the 'vent liner' and opening of the flame channel does have a direct effect on the reduction (not elimination) of blow back in the breech area with the Knight DISC. |

I guess Lee just likes to play around and see if he can Improve things and make them better? (BP) |

Couple of things... 1. I would call Lee a perfectionist (which I am not I settle for very good) - he really wants the best performance possible from what ever he has. 2. he is a retired gun smith - had his own business I think... 3. he is/was a bench shooting champion in his state - the man can shoot... |

I wish they would quit copying TC and come out with some unique guns.

I have two visions, each came with a different style bp. One has issues, the other doesn't. When you are talking about opening the flame channel, does the vent liner keep the powder from entering the channel? Here are some pictures that might help you... ![]() |
Sabotloader, thanks for the pics, makes it easier to comprehend what's going on. Just got the vision sent out today, talked to sam. For the money, a very good shooter. I shoot bh out of both and haven't had any issues with that end as far as the bp's go. The issue is the one with the flat bp, the firing pin doesn't hit the primer every time, just barely a dimple. The coned bp has a fairly strong magnet that pulls the primer in, do get a little more blowback on that one, though the other bp's pretty tight and i have to take pliers to get some primers out. I do have an accura that all primers seem to fit in pretty loose yet i get very little blowback? go figure. Knights customer service seems above normal and they are nice as pie, hope they get back on track. To bad they don't all make a universal bp, so they'd be easy to replace.

Sam is one of the real good guys at Knight - he will get you fixed up... The issue is the one with the flat bp, the firing pin doesn't hit the primer every time, just barely a dimple. |
