I went back and tried with what I thought was nothing to lose because if it was the right screw and properly drilled and tapped from the factory it would not be my fault is threads got stripped . It ended up being it was just real tight to get started but once you got past the first few threads they went right in. So give that a try as long as you have confirmed the screws you have are proper size.

Do you remember the screw size?

I decided to remove the scope from my Accura, and switch to iron sights so i can use the rifle, now, during our muzzle loader season. When i plugged the scope mounting holes i used 8x40 screws.

Thanks fusion, the last set of bases(weaver) and screws fit. The screws were a bit tight but as you said, after a thread or two they went in ok. Sure makes me feel like an a**.

Cozumel,

I can't speak for the Weathershild Barrel. I can speak on the accuracy of the Omaega. I'm sure most people on this board will agree the can be very accurate when dialed in. Let me know if you want to know what my Omega like to shoot.
