Max load with them is 80gr T7. 90 is just a bit to much for them. Check out the 300 and 338s

They shot real good for me,wtih 2 777 pellets. But after sighting them in,I shot a doe at 60yds with them,I thought I missed, but she mule kicked like she was hit.I went and inspected the area for a sign of a hit,and nothing,I searched a little and was confident in a miss.Got home and searched the net for them. And come to find out, powerbelts are known to explode or fragment on impact, which in turns causes no blood trail, and only wounding the deer. Makes me think that is what happend to my doe I shot at..But anyway

I have also heard that if you use a low power charge, nothing over 80grs,then they are good bullets..But Im not real sure on that.My advise would be if your wanting to use a powerbelt type bullet, then use the Hornady FPB! Im useing them now and they shoot awesome and they sure do put them deers down..

I have killed multiple deer with 245 hp, 260gr and 270 platinum powerbelts always using between 100 and 110 by volume of triple 7. every deer dropped quickly. usually the bullet would either pass thru or lodge on the opposite side of the hide. on the 245 i would end up with about 150-175gr left in a nice mushroom. the 270 platinums held together pretty nice.I never saw the terrible failures that others had although some may say the weight loss was extreme.

They shot very good from my encore but I have not killed any game with them.
Mountain devil is right, don't push them to hard.
I shot them first with 2 pyro pelletts and then with 90 grn select RS-FFG.
Good luck

I have some, but have not hunted with them. I was at the range the other day with the Genesis, working up a load for this weekend. I was shooting the 245 grain Powerbelt, and decided real quick that that was going to be my hunting load. When I was all done, I loaded up 80 grains of 777 powder, and a 270 Platinum, and shot a couple of shots. Now, I didnt spend much time with the 270's, ( there were a lot of guys waiting for my spot at the bench) 2 shots, the first one was about 8" to the left, and the second shot was about 8" to the right. I plan on working with the 270's more when I have time.

On a side note, I thought that the Platinums could handle the hevier loads?
