I got my grandson and I a couple of blackpowder scope/rifle combos a couple of months ago and the cheap scopes are not worth putting on a BB gun. They will not hold zero. I'm looking for a dependable, inexpensive scope for us and I keep going back to Cabela's Powderhorn blackpowder scope. Anybody on here have one or have hands on experience that they could give an opinion about them?

The Weaver K4 is a really good rugged scope. OpticsPlanet has it for $139.99.

Natchez has a sale on Nikon 4x40mm Buckmaster Scopes with the Nikoplex lens for $99.95 I have thought of them. They are a good scope and with 4x on center fires we used to shoot some real long distance with no problem.
If you really want to go cheap, Simmons Pro Diamond 4x32mm for Shotgun and Muzzleloaders. They are $39.95 but are really a good tuff scope. I have two of them and have not shaken them apart yet.

A Bushnell 1.5 X4 power 30mm is a very dependable scope and excellent for low light and out to 150 yds on low power they are very fast for getting on target.
I personally believe that the Bushnell is the way to go in a lower priced scope as I have had trouble with the recoil of a muzzleloader tearing up some of the other low priced brands.

I'm sure all of the above options are fine. However, I purchased the Powderhorn for my TC Omega and like it just fine.
I've found it to be clear and solid. I puchased the Cabela's rings & mounts and set it right up. Shooting nice groups now. I can't compare and contrast but can say I'm happy with the scope.

I am using a 3x10x40 Powder Horn on my Knight DISC Elite... and for the price I am really pleased... Nice clear optics, Good eye relief, and is holding up really well. It was in the snow and rain all day Friday - no adverse effects - other than it got dirty....
