Hello guys from a new forum member:cool2: ... I made the jump 2 yrs ago from shoting a traditional BP to an inline. I worked up a powder load of 90 grns of 777 with a 245 grn powerbelt. I am shooting 5 shot 1in. groups. Here's the problem though, this year during our early BP season i shot and killed 2 does, one ran just over 100 yds and the other ran around 80 yds or so. Neither one left hardly any blood on the ground, i mean you couldnt trail one at all. Both were lung shots with complete pass throughs. The exit hole wasnt much bigger than the entrance. If it wasnt for looking for 2 hours i might not have found one of the. I am definatley looking for any suggestions. Thanks!!!!! By the way, I love this forum.... Thanks guys

drop it down to about 70-75grains T7. With 90gr T7 that bullet had to of exploded.

It surprises me that you actually prefer the CVA Powerbelts ??? Most folks I have talked to, and my own experience, suggest there are FAR better bullet options for you to consider. Keep an open mind and try some other bullet configurations and see for yourself. I've killed a handful of deer with the Powerbelts and they were nowhere near as impressive as the damage inflicticed by the 250 gr Shockwaves. Good luck and good shootin'

How bout some good ole maxi-hunters

maxi hunters are probably a worse choice. I'll never go down that path again. I'd use a round ball over the maxi to be honest lol
