Default Arkansas ML season

Well Saturday morning starts Arkansas's nine day ML season. I sure hope the rains stops. I heading out to the cabin in the morning after I get off work. I have to work monday night, but am off the rest of the season. Hopefully with a little luck maybe I can post a pic of a buck or a big porker. Ya'll all have a good week.

Looks like good timing Greg. That dang rainy low pressure system that's been plaguing us for the last month is finally moving out, and us Southern boys will be getting a taste of fall. So far this month the night time lows down here in Louisiana have been in the mid-70's. But this week-end we'll be hitting the low 40's - HOOHA!!! Right now (8:20 p.m) it's 84 degrees on my back yard thermometer.

Semi are night time lows have been in the mid to upper forties at night here in north east Ar. Its supposed to get down into the thirties this weekend and next week, with no rain until thursday. Sounds like its gonna be good weather for the season, now if the deer will just corporate. I'm looking forward to next week. This is gonna be a long night at work for me lol.

I have around 30 to 35 deer hanging around here all the time.
I look'd out the kitchen window this morning and decided to harvest a doe.
It ranged at 135 yds.
Did ya know a muzzle loader being shot out a back door is loud.
Makes a house smell kinda wierd too.
But I got the deer and now the work begins.
I used a Remington Genisis with a 230 grain T/C hollow pt sabot using 100 grains of triple seven pellets topped with a T/C 3x9 scope.
