Default Thompson Center breakage follow-up.

Well I talked to T/C customer service today concerning the broken spring on my 209 nipple.
They said that they get the nipples already assembled and therefore don't have springs for them. They told me to just send the nipple to them and they would send me a new one.
I got some Pyrodex RS to shoot with the 209 since they said that triple seven FFFG is too hot for that open breach nipple.

Now for the question. I have some Winchester magnum #11 caps and a nipple for them. Will the work with the T7 or are they not hot enough?

Thanks,
Mitch

I'd guess the #11 mags would work fine. They're quite a bit hotter than regular 11s.

Good, I am glad they are doing something... I shoot T7 with #11 mag caps all the time - not a real problem in most inlines.

Just make sure you have the TC flame thrower nipple. That nipple extends through the BP right to the base of the powder.

the #11 caps will shoot loose powder off just fine. On pellets there is a problem. Glad they are taking care of you.
