Cool powder loads/jug

how many 50 grain loads or 100 grain loads on average do you get out of a 1lb canister of 777? does it make a difference in ffg or fffg?

I don't have any T7, but for those who are curious I just weighed ~100gr volumetric Pyrodex RS at ~68gr. (7000gr/lb)/(68gr)=~103 shots per pound.

aaron - not quite sure how many loads you will get but the difference between FF and FFF is that you will get more loads of FF than FFF per pound simply because the larger grains will take up more space for a 100 gr charge by volume which is how black powder and its substitutes are used.

FF weighs about 80 grains for a 100 grain volume.

7000/80 = ~87 loads (if no spillage/waste)

Twice that number for 50 grain volumetric charges.
