well i was shooting triple seven pellets, swabbed till the patch was clean. i thought maybe i was not completly dry dry before a apllied the bore butter. the solvent was thompson triple seven solvent. the dvd shows swabbing the solvent dry patch's then bore butter. second time i made absolutly certain bore was dry.
