I picked up some 275 grain Lehighs for my elk hunt. Went out on Saturday and got within 40 yards of a nice bull but he was walking straight away from me so no shot taken. Sunday we hunted the same area. Did not see another elk but a nice bull moose walked within 20 ft of me. I actually had to startle him so he would did not come any closer. Hoping to be able to post a pic for you but no promises.

Sometimes just being in that situation is more fun. Good luck the rest of the year.

I don't know about these bullets, but I did discove the new Hornaday FPB bullets. They are awsome in my Knight Vision along with 100 grs of BH209.

If you are going to shoot the FPB, you might really want to look at the 'Thor' - it is probably a much better bullet than a FPB.

Thor wont fragment or come apart, thats for sure.

You might as well use your first new bullet first. If you dont like the results i would suggest the 250grn Lehigh for your vision.

Ya that's true, the Thor really has nothing to gain in my opinion. A Barnes MZ expander is cheaper and better on game. IMO
